TOP FIVE [DUMBLEDORE QUOTES] — #1

“People find it far easier to forgive others for being wrong than being right.”

From:

Have you ever had someone tell you the truth about yourself, weather it be an annoying characteristic of your or even a downright character flaw? I know I have, and it’s very difficult to deal with sometimes because of a person’s natural drive for perfection. The ability to accept criticism is a skill, and without that skill it’s easy to resent people for pointing out flaws.

What makes criticism even more difficult is the fact that you don’t know who to believe, or when to believe it. The critic may be in a bad mood, or just making something up so he/she can feel better about his or herself. My rule of thumb is generally this: if three or more people are saying the same thing, you might have a problem.

Never resent critics, just know when and how to take it. It takes practice and humility, but it makes you a better person in the end.
